This workshop will focus on preparing grandparent’s with up to date knowledge around babies: whether it be birth, feeding, sleeping, or just caring. We include a comprehensive 2 hour paediatric first aid session which will give you confidence to know what actions to take if faced with a medical emergency.
Are they spoiling the baby by picking him up? What’s “safe sleep”? And where’s the talcum powder gone? - To answer all these questions and many more, join our experienced midwives for this grandparent refresher course for grandparents-to-be and new grandparents.
The Workshop will cover:
* A 2 Hour Paediatric First Aid awareness session - CPR, Choking, Bumps, Burns, Breaks, Bleeding, Febrile Seizures and Meningitis & Sepsis Awareness�
* Giving Birth in 2025 - what's changed?�
* Feeding Update – Breast & Bottle – What’s changed?�
* Safe Sleep and creating a safe environment for your grandchild.�
* Mental health and emotional wellbeing - where to get help if you're worried about your child.�
* The role of a grandparent - Setting boundaries and keeping a healthy relationship with your own child.�
* Practical refresher - Nappy changing, bathing, winding, and settling the baby. �
