Grand Slammers is a baseball event for children with minimum to severe disabilities from preschool through grade 12. The event is specifically designed for children who are unable to participate in recreational baseball leagues due to safety concerns, cognitive concerns, or the child's physical needs such as braces, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.
Every participant will have a "buddy" from the Post 22 baseball team or outside volunteer to help them with baseball skill stations (fielding, batting, running bases, etc) and to play a baseball game.
The game will consist of multiple innings in which every child bats, runs the bases, and scores.
Bats and tees will be available at the event for use. If your child has their own baseball glove, feel free to bring this along to use.
Event will take place September 22rd at 5pm at the Post 22 baseball field.
