Get ready to party and swing dance like it's 1925! The Roaring Twenties in the USA was the height of Swing Dancing driven by the joy of moving your body to the sound of a live band.
On September 6th, 2025, we welcome vocalist Alice Ayvazian and her band for our Season 9 Grand Reopening. Enjoy a swing jazz party where you can dance and listen to wonderful musicians while drinking selected wines and fresh cocktails.
Accompanying Alice's masterful vocals is Dimitris Miaris on piano, Costas Challoumas on double bass, and George Kylilis on drums.
Alice Ayvazian received her Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance from Berklee College of Music, Boston, Massachusetts, a Master's in Educational Leadership from Saint Mary's University, San Antonio, Texas, and a second Master's in Classical Performance & Pedagogy from the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. In the United States, she participated as a lead and backing vocalist in numerous studio recording projects as well as various performances and concerts.
Dimitris Miaris was born in Nicosia in 1991 and started playing classical piano from the age of six. He received his Bachelor and Masters Degree for Jazz Piano at the Ionian University's Jazz Department in 2014 under the instruction of George Kontrafouris. Dimitris has performed in various festivals like the international festival Kypria, Tinos jazz festival, University of Cyprus at Axiothea festival, Technopolis Athens festival and more.
With 25 years of experience in organizing and participating in music and music-theatrical performances worldwide, Costas Challoumas is a musician, collaborator, and producer alongside great creators of the Jazz, Ethnic, traditional, and Greek music scenes with Musical studies in New York, USA, at The Collective School of Music.
George Kylilis is a drummer who has performed with a number of groups around the island and took part in jam sessions at Sarah's Jazz & Blues Club. He is a member of the new generation of talents in Cyprus.
