We are proud to present our final exam candidates as they wow you with the result of their hard work during their studies. Following a successful 2022 edition, we return to the Muziekgieterij. This year our Bigband signs us off with guest artists Rob Bruynen & Reiner Witzel. See you there!
Let’s celebrate the end and beginning of a journey! We would like to invite you to the Graduation Jazz Exam Concerts (Bachelor and Master) of Conservatorium Maastricht. After thousands of hours of practicing, writing, arranging, composing and rehearsing our students will perform their graduation concerts. This is their chance to let their talent shine and start the beginning of their future.

Conservatorium Maastricht proudly presents a strong Bigband led by Sven Heinze ft. Reiner Witzel & Rob Bruynen Bigband with an international character
In recent years, the Jazz Bigband of Conservatorium Maastricht has worked with conductor and bassist John Clayton, Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw conductor Dennis Mackrel and in a Latin project with trumpeter arranger Michael Mossman, among others. The band plays a varied repertoire that includes well-known classics by Thad Jones and Sammy Nestico as well as some forays into music by local big band leaders and composers such as Bert Joris and Hendrika Entzian. Led by trumpeters Carlo Nardozza and Rob Bruynen, the group is working intensively on a programme to be presented in the region and across the border.
The conservatoire offers its students an innovative programme focused on personal and musical development as well as mastering the craft. For example, masterclasses by top conductors and big band arrangers are regularly combined with projects and concerts.
