In a double dose of singer-songwriter prowess, Grace Pettis and Natalie Price join forces for an evening of cathartic, introspective music full of “heartache, loss, and reflection,” yet still infused with “the great joy of performing,” according to one critic.
Grace Pettis’ music is described as a little bit of folk, a little bit of country/Americana, and a whole lot of soul. She’s the winner of many of the nation’s most prestigious songwriting contests, grants, and residencies, and her songs have been recorded by other esteemed artists, including Sara Hickman and Ruthie Foster. Her upcoming album, Down to the Letter, captures the Nashville-based singer-songwriter at the peak of her songwriting powers, chronicling the reclamation of self after betrayal.
Natalie Price was raised in a strict, religious, less-than-musical household, and her songwriting is largely self-taught, reflecting the undiluted, pure love of the craft. “She’s following her own songwriting compass” says tour-mate Grace Pettis, “[she’s] not influenced by what anybody else is doing.” One thing is clear, she’s intoxicatingly authentic and wholly original – you’ll never forget when you stepped into Natalie’s world.
