An empowering event dedicated to increasing Black homeownership through education, access, and community support.
About this Event

Grab the Key is Movement Mortgage’s initiative focused on expanding Black homeownership through education, access, and trusted community partnerships. With homeownership rates in the Black community still far below national averages, many families remain stuck in the rent cycle simply because they lack clear information, support, or upfront resources.

This event brings that support directly to Baltimore.

Attendees will walk away with practical, actionable strategies for supporting Black homebuyers from navigating credit conversations and demystifying mortgage options to understanding the full homebuying journey through a culturally informed lens. We’ll also highlight programs and tools that can help eligible buyers access down-payment resources, closing cost support, and alternative pathways to homeownership when available.

In collaboration with Find a Black Agent, the event will connect you with experienced real estate professionals who are already serving the community. These relationships strengthen the industry ecosystem fostering partnerships built on trust, cultural competency, and a shared commitment to elevating Black homeownership.

Whether your clients are 30 days or 30 months away from buying, Grab the Key equips industry professionals with the knowledge, partnerships, and perspective needed to guide them confidently. The goal is simple: empower our industry to break cycles, build trust, and help more Black families unlock generational wealth through sustainable homeownership.
