The Gower Coastal races are 3 trail running races around the beautiful Gower Peninsula - Britain's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The races are 50, 34 or 23 miles and all take in the Gower coastline.
The Ultra 50 route starts on the dramatic cliffs overlooking Limeslade Bay, before dropping down to the Mumbles Pier and following the fast flat coastal path around Swansea Bay. From here the route leaves the coastal path and heads inland, passing through Clyne Woods, before joining the salt marshes of the Loughor Estuary.
The Ultra Bach starts at Weobley Castle on the cliffs overlooking the estuary and joins the 50 route on the coast path in the marshes. It is at Llandimore where the route starts to become challenging as faster trail sections are replaced with the first, and certainly not the last, sand dunes! The long crossing of Rhossili Bay will take runners up to Rhossli and the breathtaking views over worms head and South Gower.
Here the Gower Trail Race runners join the course as the trail initially crosses farmland along cliff tops, until it reaches Port Eynon. You will then cross a string of stunning beaches, castles, dunes and bays including Port Eynon, Oxwich, Three Cliffs, Caswell and Langland until reaching Rams Tor and completing your adventure
2024 marks the 10th anniversary of the event so join us for the party in the Cricket Club after the race!
