September 28 and 29 are FallFest Weekend in Gowanda. Highlights are the annual Scarecrow Contest plus a Paracon (paranormal convention) and Mark Twain performance art the Hollywood Theater. The theater events should bring a lot of out-of-town people into Gowanda that weekend. Hopefully, there will be a good scarecrow presence to greet the visitors.
