About this Event
Did you know that the state of Arkansas, local cities, and the federal government offer special set-aside government contracting opportunities for properly certified businesses?
Some examples of small businesses with certifications that can win contracts for goods produced and business services offered:
- Women-owned businesses
- Minority-owned businesses
- Disabled US veteran-owned businesses
- Economically disadvantaged-owned businesses
The Arkansas Apex Accelerator is part of a national network of Apex Accelerators working to help small businesses compete successfully in the government marketplace. Its mission is to assist Arkansas small businesses in obtaining government contracts. Arkansas residents and businesses are not charged for its services.
In this workshop, presenter Kimberly Randall, our local procurement counselor, will explain the various small business certifications available and other free resources to assist you with all aspects of government contracting. She will walk you through the federal and state registrations, rules, and processes needed for your business to sell your products and/or services to government entities.
