Join celebrated Rhode Island artist Jordan M. Rhodes for an introduction to gouache. This hands-on, three hour workshop will cover basic color mixing, layering, and painting a simple subject like a skull. Bring your own supplies or purchase supplies through the workshop (see below).
About Jordan
Jordan is a Ph.D. Chemist turned artist based in Pawtucket, RI. What started out as a way to relax in Jordan’s leisure time after working in the lab quickly grew into his passion. With over 410k followers on instagram, Jordan’s impressive roster of clients include Strathmore, Princeton Brushes, Sktchy, Columbia Records, Disney Plus, Shake Shack and Grammy nominated artist D Smoke.
Recommended Materials (available for purchase through workshop)
- Gouache Paint: white, red, yellow, blue, and any additional you want to use
- Brushes: 1/2 inch angled shader brush (Jordan's fav: Princeton Velvetouch). For detail: 1 inch flat and smaller size 2-8 round
- Paper: Strathmore tan, mixed media
- Spray bottle
- Mixing tray or palette
