Join Got To Get Out Snow Club for our first North Island snow weekend this year!
For this amazing trip, you're getting two epic days on Mt Ruapehu, visiting Turoa ski area.
You are guaranteed to be joining a friendly crew of up to 19 people. Experienced leader, Got To Get Out founder Rob.
Come and enjoy skiing/snowboarding in a UNESCO World
Heritage Park famous for its geological and cultural significance and amazing views.
The cost for this trip covers:
- Bus transport to and from Auckland OR pick up on our route (pickup options are Bombay, Whatawhata, Pirongia). Please make this clear with your ticket purchase.
- Transport to and from ski field (Turoa on this trip), weather permitting.
- 2 x nights accommodation in bunk level accommodation (near National Park) with shared facilities
NOTE - This ticket does not include fees for the lift passes, gear hire or your food. We always BYO food for a shared dinner at least one night, so plan to bring something tasty to put on the table!
Accommodation:
GTGO Snow Club stay in ski lodge level accommodation. Bunks, and shared facilities.
How hard will it be?
Because this is UNGUIDED (on mountain), you determine your own skills on-mountain and undertake the activity at your own risk. All levels are welcome.

If you have never skied or snowboarded before, someone from the GTGO will be willing to lend you a hand for sure: we are a friendly welcoming bunch of outdoor lovers, led mostly by volunteers who will make sure everyone has a great time.
Schedule:
We will be leaving Auckland 5pm Friday evening, and returning late Sunday, spending both days on the mountain (usually a shorter day Sunday to be home at a reasonable time).
We usually stop in somewhere like Bombay for dinner on the Friday night. Various gas station stops along the way for anything you've forgotten!
Ski time: Saturday, and Sunday
Food:
You BYO food to share for dinner on the Saturday night (kitchen equipment provided with the accommodation).
You can buy most other things down there, from cafes on mountain or the 4 Square.
You make your own breakfast, so bring that too. BYO Coffee and milk etc.
