Got Blues Matinee & Jam is hosted by Got Blues (Chris Roumbanis and friends Mike Robicheau & Alan Dowling). Running every Saturday September to June since 2009. The 1st set features a special guest each show. The 2nd set is always an electric blues jam (just show up and put your name on the list). There is no cover charge. We pass the hat.Shirley Jackson is an accomplished songwriter, arranger and music producer and has been a mainstay in the Nova Scotia music scene for the past 35 years as a singer, saxophone player, guitarist, percussionist and band leader.
Recognized as one of the Best of the Coast, Halifax 2023 for Blues Band/Artist along with Matt Anderson and Garrett Mason with Bronze.
A recognized singer/songwriter in the International Song Award Finals (2022) and the World Song Awards top ten finalists (2022) an award winning saxophone player with two Maple Blues Awards for Horn Player (2018, & 2003).
We have been trying to have Shirley as a guest for many years and we are so happy the stars finally aligned.
This is an all ages event as long as minors are accompanied by an adult
