On Feb. 21st at 3:00 Gospel With A Purpose opens its doors for a wonderful day of southern gospel and inspirational music. We are pleased to have Voice of Truth Quartet and Back Porch Gospel.
From Neosho, Missouri, Voice of Truth Quartet's mission has always been to be ONE VOICE, sharing ONE MESSAGE, which is JESUS CHRIST. Their number one goal is to see souls saved through their ministry. However, they are also seeing a lot of people encouraged through MUSIC. “So many are carrying burdens of sickness, pain, sorrow of losing a loved one, and many other things they've never faced before.” Their prayer every time they minister is to send someone away with some JOY and HOPE!
Voice of Truth Quartet consists of Jonathan Harris- BASS, Paul Holden- LEAD, Ken Dodd- BARITONE, and Scott Edwards- TENOR
Singing together for 33 years, VOTQ has recorded 6 projects to date, of which they’ve released 10 songs to radio. Their producer and radio promoter is Les Butler of Butler/Family Music Group and REAL SOUTHERN GOSPEL RADIO.

Also ministering, from Yale OK, is Back Porch Gospel. They originally began in 2004 with Randy Hart, wife Linda, as well as Linda’s Brother, Larry Brown and wife Carol, singing mostly at community singings and local churches. Ms. Judy Swearngin was a talented piano player with the group for 8 years before leaving due to health issues. In that time Back Porch Gospel made 3 albums, On a Journey, 2007, Walking with Jesus, 2010 and Sing for His Glory, 2015. Prior to 2015 and deciding to take a break, some talented friends, Jay and Melissa Fletcher, as well as Shelby and Dianne Ashment, at different times, also ministered and traveled with BPG, even lending their time and talent on a few projects.
In early 2025 Back Porch reorganized and are happy to be back doing what the Lord is calling them to do! Linda’s youngest brother and his wife, Kenny and Robin Brown are traveling with them.
With Larry playing guitar, Randy on mandolin, Kenny playing lead guitar and fiddle, and all on vocals, you will certainly enjoy the live music this group brings.
For His Purpose, Sheryl and Aliyah Beeler will host the program and sing a few songs as well.
Doors open at 2:30 at LifePoint Church, 9404 S. Perkins Rd. Perkins, OK 74059. In supporting our community, receptacles will be inside the door for non-perishable food items and paper goods for the Payne County Pantries. Admission is always free at Gospel With A Purpose, a love offering will be taken.
