Gospel Lunch for great music, friendship, food…it’s heavenly.
Kerri Simpson, Kelly Auty, David Allardice and Nick Carrafa fill the room with their soaring Gospel songs. All seasoned players with their distinctive styles, together they blend and take songs from a whisper to a shout. They sing and dance to spirited rhythms and the crowd join in on favourite tunes.
Dubbed “Australia’s own Blues Diva” by Bruce Elder of the Sydney Morning Herald, in 2024 Kerri Simpson was inducted into Blues Music Victoria's Hall of Fame, co-wrote and performed on the title track of Jeff Langs' ”More Life" album and the Melbourne based band Opelousas: Kerri Simpson, Anthony Shortte, Alison Ferrier, released their second album "Opelousafried". They won Music Victoria’s Best Blues Album. Few singers anywhere have so successfully traversed musical genres as Kerri Simpson and to hear her Gospel stylings and tones is awe inspiring.
Known as a dynamic vocalist and an inspiring performer, Kelly Auty is equally impressive across Blues, Gospel, R&B, Soul, Rock and Country styles. Kelly’s singing is heartfelt and earthy, harking back to her early childhood in outback Australia. Since 2024 Kelly has been writing, performing and recording with new Melbourne band PepperCreek Revival, creation of esteemed Bassist and music Producer, Barry Hills.
David Allardice is a Melbourne piano player able to leap tall genres in a single bound. Currently performing with Pearly Shells, Melbourne Jazz Collective, Bahia Latin Band and whatever else is good.
Nick Carrafa is a drummer, percussionist, songwriter, harmonic player, singer and actor. Nick is the epitome of the all-round musician. He is the rhythmic soul of the band and a fine vocalist too. Nick is a much sort after musician who performs around town and interstate, most recently with Melbourne band PepperCreek Revival.
