Presented by Employers Health and in collaboration with EN-RICH-MENT of Stark County, Gospel Joins Symphony will be an epic presentation of orchestral and gospel music coming together to inspire and uplift our community. V.O.I.C.E., a gospel choir ensemble organized by EN-RICH-MENT and directed by Darius McBride, will join the full power of the Canton Symphony Orchestra along with Southland College Prep Charter (Richton, Illinois) under the direction of Elizabeth Norman-Sojourner.This concert holds significance as it falls just days before Juneteenth. For those unfamiliar, Juneteenth is a federally recognized holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States, shedding light on the history of enslaved peoples and memorializing all those who suffered under oppression.
