The African American Heritage Project and Nacogdoches Historic Sites invite you to a Gospel Festival at Zion Hill, sponsored by Commercial Bank of Texas.Join us on Sunday, November 9th at 3:00 p.m. for this free community event celebrating the power of gospel music. The afternoon will feature talented local choirs and groups, including the Men of Praise Quartet, Zion Hill First Baptist Church, Austin Heights Baptist Church, and Iron Wheel Baptist Church. The program will be emceed by Evangelist Alva Taylor.
Donations collected will support the African American Heritage Project’s restoration of the Clay House and contribute to ongoing efforts to preserve the history of Zion Hill.
These are the current participating groups, but additional choirs or groups are welcome to join. If your group would like to be part of the festival, please contact Paul Jackson at 936-615-1391.
