Start noticing urban nature with a special public bioblitz held in collaboration with Friends of Jesmond Old Cemetery. With the help of friendly experts, we'll aim to discover as many plants and animals throughout the cemetery as possible, exploring birds, plants, insects and other species that make this quiet and beautiful urban space so special.
Join naturalists from the Natural History Society of Northumbria to discover the wildlife likely to be spotted here in Summer and learn more about the history and heritage of this special place from passionate volunteers at Friends of Jesmond Old Cemetery.
This free event is held as part of Gosforth's Wild Web. Everyone is welcome, whether you want to drop in for a few minutes or stay the whole day.
Please meet at the cemetery entrance from Sandyford Road, NZ 25784 65471, move.salad.cheese.
