Goodwill Construction Trade Skills Training Center

We will be touring this location and learning more about the Construction Skills Training Center. Dinner will be on your own and will follow the tour. Location TBD.

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS), Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) and The ROC (Rebuilding Opportunities in Construction) have partnered together to build the Goodwill Construction Skills Training Center.

There are programs at the Goodwill Construction Skills Training Center that serve both high school students and adults. Any adult can access Goodwill programs, and any CMS student can participate in the youth programs. All four partners have a key role.

• Goodwill: focusing on adult workforce development, wraparound support services and managing the facility
• CMS: focusing on student recruitment, logistics and advocacy
• CPCC: with college credits and industry-certified instruction
• The ROC: focusing on teen workforce development, and industry apprenticeships and mentorships
