This summer, the Wild About Gardens team will be at Goodnestone Park, promoting nature-friendly gardening. Set amongst the stunning surroundings of Goodnestone Park, we’ll be promoting ways to encourage wildlife into your gardens, along with nature-friendly activities for the little ones. Guided walks will take place at 11.30 am and 2 pm
with opportunities to ask questions both about the gardens and about gardening for wildlife in
general. You don’t need to book, but places will be limited.
Our Wild About Gardens team will be on hand throughout the day providing information on such things as sustainable gardening and how to garden without the three Ps- pesticides, plastic and peat, how to create a mini pond and other ways to create wildlife friendly spaces, big and small. Other wildlife organisations will also be there with representatives from Bumblebee Conservation Trust, Kent Bat Group, Kent Mammal Group, Kent Wildlife Rescue Service and the Kent Reptile and Amphibian Group, so if you want to know more about bumblebees and other pollinators, see a hedgehog or a bat, come along and join us at Goodnestone.
Come for the day to enjoy the full splendour of the estate and make sure you leave some time
to enjoy a bite to eat at The Old Dairy Cafe, booking is essential.
Follow Kent Wildlife Trust on Facebook for more details about the day.
Save the Date: Sunday 7 July from 11 am to 4 pm (Gardens are open from 9 am)
Entry fee: £9 for adults, carers tickets are £3.50 each and children go free.
50% of the entry fees raised will support Kent Wildlife Trust's Wild About Gardens work.
