This January, we mark the end of an era. Fifteen years have passed since the very first Kiloton party, and now the time has come to close the chapter.What started out as a monthly club night at Babel in the solid hands of Per Hammar, soon became a local institution championing a deep love for high-quality, raw and dynamic dance music, and a persistent ambition to bring both international masters, local heroes and new talent to the Malmö crowd.
Our journey has taken us through big nights at both Babel and Inkonst, intimate underground afterhours, and lush open-air affairs in collaboration with some of the best collectives in town.
But these memories would be nothing without each of you who joined us on the floor, showed up early and stayed late, and brought your amazing energy to the community. We couldn’t be more thankful.
Closing a chapter creates space for something new, and we can’t wait to see what the next generation will bring. That said our love for Malmö’s nightlife is forever, so you’ll of course still find us around and part of the scene in different ways.
But as far as Kiloton goes, this one is our grand finale, an ultimate teleport into a new year, and a chance to play and dance through the night together one last time. We hope to see you there!
