Have you ever wondered why there is such a large selection of road bike types? Join the Trek-Goodales staff for a deep dive into all things' road and gravel bikes. Learn how to select just the right bike for your riding adventures. We will cover the differences in bikes ranging from dedicated high-performance road to gravel and bikepacking bikes starting with an introduction to bike frame geometry and its impact on ride feel and fit. There will be a discussion on the different types of frame materials, component selection, component manufacturers, 2X vs 1X drive trains and electronic vs mechanical shifting. We will finish with a discussion of the state of bike technology and provide some insights on where bike technology is going
