Rounding off what has been a year of amazing Soulful Sunday Sessions with some of the UKs finest soul spinners Vickie brings you five hours of soul, funk, jazz funk, boogie, soulful house and everything in between. Always the best crowd in Kent, this is one to stick in your diaries!
Vickie Vibe has been a professional club DJ for almost 30 years playing at some of London's top clubs. Her career started as a house and trance DJ back in the 90s, where she could be found every week behind the decks or on the dancefloors of legendary clubs Turnmills, The Cross, Bagleys and The End.
�In the early 2000s, together with husband Mat, they installed sound systems in the West End for Soul City and Soul Heaven where she was inspired by some of the finest DJs in the world, Dave Lee, Paul Trouble Anderson, Booker T, DJ Spen and Karizma to name but a few. These intimate basement parties ignited her obsession with soul, rare groove, boogie, disco and soulful house music.
�In April 2023 Vickie decided to create her own soul brand 'Good Vibrations' in her original hometown Gravesend. Her monthly events are renowned for their great atmosphere, quality music and guest DJs which have included Stretch Taylor, Matthew B, Booker T, Jeremy Braithwaite, Danny T and Ricky Morrison to name but a few.
�You’ll find Vickie playing at many events throughout the year including Margate Soul Festival, 360 Sessions, The Soundcrash Funk & Soul Weekender, Pickled Events and The Cambridge Day Festival. No stranger to warming up for soul royalty, Vickie recently played alongside legendary disco band Odyssey and she’s super excited to be supporting the Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show this December at the iconic Dreamland, Margate alongside soul singer Omar.
