Where & When
Saturday 3rd June – 10:30am – 1:30pm (including light lunch) – Hinde Street Methodist Church, 19 Hinde St, London W1U 2QJ
What
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.”
As followers of Jesus, we are called to celebrate the good news of God’s transforming love with our neighbours, whether they live down our street or half-way around the world. But when the cost of living crisis is leaving so many hungry and cold right here in the UK, or poverty, disaster and exploitation are facing our global neighbours, what does it look like to speak and live out the good news in our churches?
We know that it can be hard to confront the difficult questions about injustice and poverty in our spaces of worship and reflection, holding out the hope of God’s good news. That’s why All We Can and the Joint Public Issues Team have teamed up to gather with you to explore how we might use our worship, reflection and preaching to dig deeper into what it means to listen well to communities, grow in our relationships and strengthen our voice to call for justice and peace.
We’ll be gathering in three events across England, and you’re invited! We’ll particularly be exploring how we can use our worship gatherings and spaces for reflection to explore these topics. So whether you’re a worship leader, local preacher, Minister, small group leader or simply passionate about the good news, we’re excited to spend time together getting equipped to speak the message of justice and peace boldly within our communities.
This event is also happening in Manchester and Nottingham. You can book tickets to these events separately here.
