We all experience grief whether we’ve had an acute loss recently or not. As we go through change whether it's individual or collective, negative or even positive we experience loss and can have painful feelings emerge. So often in our culture, we experience grief as isolating and lonely when our challenges have the potential to help us deepen our connection to ourselves, our loved ones, the natural world, community and even creative potential as our hearts crack open. Grief connects us all through our common human difficulties that can feel less painful when we can share them with others in courageous, loving ways. You’re invited to join in this monthly group to learn, experience and share how grief can be a journey of healing and connection in community. Each month there will be a different theme, practice and question we’ll be sharing about. You’re welcome to come and bring all of who you are, simply be, reflect, feel, listen and share or not. It’s up to you how you’d like to participate.
Themes for the next few months . . .
January 23rd – Grounding with grief
February 20th – Swimming in the waters with wonder
March 20th – Honoring limits and boundaries
April 17th – Creativity and grief
May 15th - Grief as a spiritual journey
Location: Bay View East Professional Building, 1053 N US-31 Suite #1, Petoskey
You can park in the back of the building and enter through the back. We’ll be in the room on the right.
Tea will be provided.

Guidelines:
1. Come as you are
2. Take care of yourself the best you can, come and go as needed
3. Let's create a courageous space together from the heart by honoring your own experience and the experience of others with curiosity and compassion
4. Respect that we all grieve differently and have different needs, please no advice giving or physical touch unless it is requested or ask before offering
5. Trust in your own resiliency and the resiliency of others
6. Speak of your own experience from the heart, use “I” statements
7. Confidentiality, share your own experience not others’ experiences, both in the space and outside of it
These are drop in gatherings meaning there is no commitment to come repeatedly and signing up beforehand helps me to know how many people to expect for supplies and set up. It’s a cozy space that can fit up to 11 folks so the group is limited to 10 participants.
