In Stitches Comedy Club in Dublin last Monday of the month Gong Show. This is undoubtedly Ireland’s best live stand up comedy venue. Located at Peadar Kearney’s Pub – basement, Dublin Ireland not to mention it is where the top local and international comedians perform.

In Stitches Comedy Club Gong Show is the most brutal comedy competition like no other. Ten aspiring comics try to last five minutes on stage without getting the gong. Three random judges are picked from the audience and given the prestigious judge’s gavel. Each act gets a two-minute grace period to win the crowd over. After that, the judges have the power to vote them off the stage if they’re not funny enough. And don’t worry — the audience also has the power to influence the judges by booing and heckling if they think someone’s being too nice!

Emman Idama

Nigerian-born Irish comedian Emman Idama has a unique voice and ability to bring the house down. Over 12 years to the present time he spend his time mastering his craft on stage. Wille starting his comedy career in Ireland he manage to featured on some Irish television shows. such as on RTE1 – “The Year That’s In It” in 2015 and also on RTE2 with show such as “The House of Craic” (writer & star), “Laughter In The Eye” – Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway, “Electric Picnic”, “This is Ireland” in 2016 (writer / star) – Des Bishop’s.

Emman Idama eventually getting his big break on UK television in 2023 on the third series of Comedy Central Live and the list goes on. Before getting on the UK Comedy circuits he performed at all the comedy club in Ireland and broke into some comedy festival in the country for example Paddy Power Comedy Festival, Vodafone Comedy Carnival, Galway Arts Festival, Longitude and more.

In 2019 he enter Chortle Student Comedy competition. All in all he made it to the finals. As a result of that got the opportunity to perform at Latitude festival. Following the finale at the Edinburgh fringe festival Steve Bennett reviewed all the acts and spoke highly of Emman Idama as shown below.

That same year he performed in venues such as 3Olympia Theatre Dublin, Waterfront Hall Belfast, Aylesbury Waterside England, The Laughter Lounge Dublin and many more high profile club in Ireland.

In due time he worked his way up from open mic nights to his first ever paid spot. Making himself a regular paid act at establish clubs. Performing at establish clubs like The Stand, Glee, Monkey Barrel, The Empire, Backyard Comedy Club and more in England. Also being a regular headliner in Ireland at clubs like Comedy at The International, The Crunch Comedy Club and more.

Eventually more opportunity be the opening act for the likes of Jamali Maddix, Seann Patton, Seann Walsh and Eric Cantona. Hot press 2020 and 2021 “Comedian of The Year” nomination was another recognition gained to post his profile.

At this present time Emman is now a resident host at In Stitches Comedy Club Dublin Ireland. Wile making a name for him self in Ireland and the UK he occasionally traveling around Europe, American

Craig Moran

Craig is Irish Comedian that started doing stand up late in life at 27, once he began, he never looked back. He is a regular at all the major comedy clubs in Ireland, gigging with the best acts and playing to large international audiences. Craig is co-founder of In Stitches Comedy Club where he can be seen regularly performing and Mcing, 7 nights a week.

Craig is an Anecdotal comedian, telling hilarious stories with act outs that’ll have you bursting with laughter! Growing up as the middle child in the family, being the class clown & always wanting to be the centre of attention making him perfect for stand up.

Info: The bar is open from 10am every day but the comedy club opens its doors at 8:30pm. On Tuesday we are upstairs at the International Bar and doors open at 8:00pm. On Saturday we have 2 shows, doors 6.30pm, show 7pm. The late show is doors 9pm, show 9.30pm.
