About this Event

A Night of Sound, Stillness and Renewal
Join Bodhini, David, Emma, Finlay and Laura for a full-night Gong Puja
a continuous sound meditation held in the nurturing space of The Yoga Hall, St Albans.

Arrival and set-up begin at 9pm, followed by a gentle welcome and intention-setting circle. The gongs will sound from 10pm through the night until 5.30am, creating ten consecutive gong baths — each around 45 minutes — that flow seamlessly into one another. After the final gong fades, we rest in silence until 6.30am, followed by Japji, gentle yoga, and optional breakfast together before departure by 8:30am.

This Puja coincides with the first New Moon of 2026, a potent time for renewal and release. The still energy of the New Moon supports setting fresh intentions, letting go of what no longer serves, and inviting new beginnings. Combined with the sustained resonance of the gongs, this night offers a profound opportunity for deep rest and transformation.

Yogi Bhajan taught that a single 45-minute gong bath could clear immediate energetic blocks, while ten consecutive gong baths could release deeper patterns and support self-healing. His student Don Conreaux developed the all-night Gong Puja to honour this teaching — creating an unbroken field of vibration lasting around 7½ hours. Participants often describe waking feeling lighter, clearer and deeply restored, as though the body, mind and spirit have been gently recalibrated overnight.

The practice brings together ancient sound-healing wisdom and modern understanding of how vibration supports the nervous system, lowers stress hormones, and promotes natural balance.
