Gong Nidra combines guided meditation with the deep otherworldly sound of gongs played intentionally and gently to enable you to sink more fully into a restorative meditative state.
The term Yoga Nidra is derived from ancient Sanskrit yogic texts on meditation, and means “yogic sleep.” During Gong Nidra, although the body is completely still, the mind is aware and active, potentially providing a powerfully peaceful meditative experience.
*Due to the extended deep resonant vibrations in this session, if you are in the first trimester of pregnancy, or experiencing a mental health crisis, it is advised not to participate in this experience. If you are feeling uncertain, please check with your physician or mental health provider.
***Ages 15 and over event. Event begins promptly at the stated time, doors will be locked, late entry is not permitted, so please arrive 5-10 minutes early. Yoga mats, knee bolsters, and blankets will be provided, please feel free to bring any addition props desired for comfort. Space is limited, register ahead to avoid disappointment. Parking available in front of our building, and on Bennett St. North roundabout.
