About this Event
This event will be in memory of Dr. Ruth Jackson who was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, friend and community leader. She left this world suddenly on November 7, 2021. Family Day will be held on Saturday, June 04, 2022 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. This event began in 1998 when an award was given by San Francisco’s Mayor Willie Brown Jr. and proclaimed the day as “Ruth Jackson’s Family Day.” This year is the 24th Anniversary and it continues to bring the entire Valley together. Free to the community there will be a parade, kid activities, car show, amusement rides, performances, food, raffle, resources, and FUN.
On June 2, 2022, we are planning to host a Golf Tournament fundraising event for Family Day.
Join golfers in celebrating Dr. Jackson and District 10's community-driven golf tournament. It will be followed by a luncheon, cocktail reception, silent auction and a free raffle.
