Jengo’s Playhouse presents an intimate, synesthetic evening of original Wilmington music paired with analog, handcrafted visuals. Goldielux will premiere a three-song collaboration with shadow performance artist Ariel Schmidtke, who works with your middle school math teacher’s old-school projector to synchronize stories in light and shadow to the indie band’s emotive lyrics in real time.
Justin Lacy’s folk band will open the evening, live-scoring a selection of Lacy’s handmade stop-motion animated music videos.
Cocktails at 7pm; music begins at 8pm.
