Early bird tickets will be available until Friday 14th June, so make the most of discounted prices and book soon!Bluegrass Parkway is a much-loved local band and when they gather around a single microphone with their three and four part harmonies, they are utilising an almost lost technique from 'the old days' to transport us back to the 1940s. For over three decades the band has toured extensively in the United States, New Zealand and across Australia and have gained a reputation as Australia's most renowned and experienced bluegrass band. They have a special link to the home of bluegrass music in Kentucky as Maria Duff (on double bass and vocals) hails from the heart of bluegrass country in Lexington, Kentucky. Paul Duff met Maria in the early 1980s while touring America and is lead and harmony vocalist, front man and mandolin player. Adding to the bluegrass magic of this authentic and talented group are Wayne Perry's powerful voice and rhythm guitar; and Michael Patrick with his exciting fiddle-playing and quality voice. Mick O'Neill plays the banjo and delights audiences with his wonderful bass voice. Bluegrass Parkway will thrill you with their strong harmonies, great picking and fancy footwork!
We are excited to welcome back our support duo, the very talented Ashlea Reale and NY Slim for an evening of foot stomping rhythms and clever lyrics. To regale us with tales of bushrangers, convicts and dastardly deeds, Ashlea Reale combines her Aussie Folklore with NY Slim's American country blues and bluegrass fretwork. The audience will be captivated by these dark and dirty, charming stories of local outlaws. This duo are original, but true to tradition and will have you enthralled from the first chord to the final holla!
