About this Event
Golden Harvest: A Culinary Celebration of Bees and Summer's End
Join the Butterbur Studio dinner dedicated to the vital role bees play in our ecosystem and the seasonal abundance they help bring to our tables. This evening will feature a thoughtfully curated menu highlighting pollinated vegetables and fruits, bees' cherished edible flowers, pollen, honey, and hydromel wine.
The menu will be vegetarian and will include dairy, gluten, and nuts. While we strive to create an inclusive dining experience, we regret that we are unable to accommodate all dietary restrictions. However, please feel free to contact us in advance, and we will do our best to make suitable adaptations.
The Importance of Bees in Our Food System
Bees are essential to the pollination of many crops, including the vegetables, fruits, and flowers we consume every day an throughout the seasons. Without their amazing work, our food supply would be severely impacted, leading to reduced availability and diversity of the foods we rely on. This dinner is a celebration of summer’s end, the warm sun, the golden light, the canal swims, and also a tribute to these remarkable pollinators who are crucial to sustaining the agricultural systems that nourish us.
Practical information:
- Arrival between 18:00 and 18:30 to have enough time to enjoy all the courses
- Wine pairing will be an additional fee
