Golden Gullwater Regatta - 3rd Annual

The GOLDEN GULLWATER REGATTA is BACK!!!

Year 1 (2023) was PERFECT! Blue skies, calm water, 200+ paddlers, and INCREDIBLE launch!!

Year 2 (2024) was a CHALLENGE (for us organizers!). Another terrific sign-up, but a major storm on race day forced us to pivot. While we scheduled a make-up event a few weeks later, it was much smaller - and we have carried over unused registrations for the 2024 event to be applied to the 2025 one!

Year 3 (2025) is going to be AWESOME, with some planning adjustments. Here is what you need to know!

• We have moved the Regatta to SATURDAY this year (to allow for a Sunday Rain Date if necesary!)
• The plan is almost identical to the original. Leave your boat at Minden Rotary Park (start), drive car to Rockcliffe - Moore Falls then bus back to the start.
• At the end of the paddle, there will be an after party with Boshkung Social setting up a pop-up restaurant/bar with food and drinks available for purchase - and LIVE MUSIC!
• If the weather is less than ideal, we will just move the after-party to Boshkung Social in Minden (a 12 minute drive)
• And if the weather is really bad (unsafe), we will shift to Sunday October 5, same time, same plan.

Here is what you can expect!

• 11am Start from Minden Rotary Park (Welcome Table open at 8:00am for boat drop off, parking, preparation, etc - with public washrooms
• Convenient SHUTTLE BUS so you can drop your boat at the park, park your car at the finish, and then be bussed back from Moore Falls to Minden to start your paddle!! (Saves you all the logistics and let's you relax and enjoy the afternoon stress-free!)
• Full on-water support, with multiple boats ensuring safety and offering water & snacks the full length of the paddle.
• Lots of great photos of the awesome fall colours!!
• Friday evening pre-race gathering at Boshkung Social in Minden - with games and prizes!
• "Swag Bag" with souvenir and bonus sponsor gifts.
• Draw prizes and acknowledgement of the "Goldenest Gulls" (most senior paddlers!!)
• Volunteers at Finish Dock to carry your boats to the parking area (you will really appreciate this!!!)
• Live music apres-paddle party at The Rockcliffe (or Boshkung Social if necessary)
• Awesome Boshking Social food (special event menu) and drinks at The Rockcliffe (a la carte $)

We are still committed to keeping this a reasonably priced event, so here is the entry information for this year...

$40 REGULAR 2025 REGISTRATION (this covers your entry, swag bag, etc)

$15 Optional Shuttle Bus

NOTE: If affordability is an issue for you, don't let that stop you from participating! Send us an email to [email protected] and we will send you a code that allows you to "Pay What You Can" (any amount from $0 up)

In 2023 there we over 200 paddlers, and we realistically cannot accommodate many more than that - so this will almost certainly sell out. Please register early so you aren't disappointed. And we will start a Waiting List when we reach capacity, to hopefully include as many as we can :-)

(NOTE: Algonquin Outfitters no longer has the Minden store, so they will not deliver or pickup the boats this year - you must pick up/drop off in Haliburton.)

After registering, you will receive follow-up emails leading up to the event, including updates, waiver, sponsor announcements, etc.
If you register and later realize you need to add shuttle bus seats, just return to TICKETS page and buy them in separate order.
