The Bemidji State University Alumni & Foundation is proud to reintroduce the Golden Beaver Celebration at 1 p.m. on Aug. 24, a special event recognizing alumni who graduated 50-plus years ago.
This BSU tradition has not been held since 2019 but is coming back as a way to honor alumni who walked across the graduation stage at least half a century ago, this year starting with the Class of 1975.
The event is free to attend, but we kindly request that attendees RSVP so we can plan accordingly. RSVP by visiting bsualumni.org/events/goldenbeaver or by calling 218-755-2599.
The celebration begins with light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres at 1 p.m. inside the David Park House, where members of the newest class of Golden Beavers will be presented with commemorative Golden Beaver medallions. The David Park House is located at 1501 Birchmont Drive NE, Bemidji, MN 56601.
Following the gathering, all guests are invited to attend Convocation at 3 p.m., a meaningful campus tradition that officially welcomes our incoming students — the newest generation of Beavers.
After Convocation, guests are welcome to return to the David Park House lawn to enjoy an optional ice cream social and connect with fellow alumni and the Class of 2029.
