The Gold Star Garden is collaborating with Creative York for a Plein Air designed to engage artists in this lovely, public memorial garden. All art mediums (painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, etc.) are accepted.This event is open to ages 16+. Artists are invited to exhibit and sell finished pieces at the Veterans Day Celebration and breakfast, Saturday, November 8, 2025. At the breakfast, veterans will vote on First ($300), Second ($200) and Third ($100) prize winners. The event is free and open to the public.
The Gold Star Garden, located at 1000 Vander Avenue in York, is dedicated to all Veterans and names of the Pennsylvania military fallen in the Global War on Terror. It holds the names of the York County fallen from World War I to the present.
