This is a very from and welcoming snowshoe experience. If this is your first time you will love it. This trail can done wearing micro spikes, but this is a snowshoe event. You will need a snowpack pass. This would definitely be a carpool event because parking at the trailhead can be very difficult and add a longer walk. There will be lots of photo opportunities all around the pond so be patient with fellow hikers in the group. For those of us that want to continue socializing, we will be stopping for food afterwards. If you don’t have snowshoes and are not sure you’re ready to invest, REI rents snowshoes with trekking polls to anyone. REI members will receive a member rate.
Carpooling will be arranged at the Issaquah REI store parking lot on GILMAN ROAD.
