Join us this Sunday afternoon at the Druid Hall in Santa Rosa for an afternoon of hot 'n happy classic traditional jazz performed by the Gold Coast Jazz Band. It's the music of the first "Roaring '20's", from ragtime to the dawn of swing, when that new music - jazz - met the beginning of a golden age of American popular song. There'll be tunes by Louis Armstrong, Joe "King" Oliver, Jelly Roll Morton, Kid Ory and the preeminent popular song writers of the period. Gold Coast plays it in a way guaranteed to put a smile on your face, get your toes to tapping, and feet to dancing on the Druid Hall's spacious dance floor.
The Gold Coast Jazz Band is: Tom Barnebey, cornet, trombone; Ed Foster, reeds; Bill Badstubner, trombone; Candy Woodworth, tuba; Steven Radice, banjo & guitar; and Rich Owens, piano.
