On August 28th immediately after practice we will have our Gold Card Event. Each year on a specific night we send the athletes out in groups wearing their jerseys to sell this year's Gold Card. The Gold Card is a credit card size discount card full of deals from our local businesses that have graciously agreed to support the football program this year. The cards are $20 each and the discounts can be used daily at each establishment up until September 2026. The Gold Card sale has been a major fundraiser for the football program for many years. We will post on social media to let the community know the date to expect the athletes and in the past the community has been very supportive of the athletes on purchasing the cards. In order to have a successful sale we need parent volunteers to drive a group of athletes around that night to their designated area. As a reminder no athlete should enter any residence, they should have an adult chaperone in the vehicle and they should show the utmost respect and courtesy when out selling and representing the Central Square school district and the football program.
The athletes and their designated driver will come up to the concession stand and get their envelopes with their cards immediately after practice. The drivers will be given the map of their designated area (we do this to avoid the athletes going to the same houses). The athletes will go out and sell the cards at that time and then return back to the Hub located at 90 Wilson Road Central Square (Pop Warner Field) at 8:30 to turn in all money and any unsold cards. The Boosters will be providing pizza and drinks for the players to celebrate the start of the season.
If you are able to be a driver please fill out the google form below.. As this is the only fundraising event we ask the athletes and parents to do, it is important we have 100 percent participation from our JV and Varsity teams.
The money raised from the Gold Card Sales in the past has been used for Thursday Night Varsity dinners, Senior Night, end of year banquet purchases, scholarships, end of year JV pizza party, Modified pizza party, extra equipment the coaches request and any other items needed throughout the season.
We will also be taking donations this year for the concession stand. If you would like to donate any packages of full-size candy bars, cans of soda, cases of water or gatorade please bring them to the gold card sale or any home game.
