About this Event

Postural Stability Class (FaME – Falls and Management Exercise)

Class is held in bar/studio room off of the seating area. If you have any trouble finding the room ask at the Tides reception

Do you have a fear of falling or simply want to feel stronger, taller, and move with ease? This class is designed to incorporate the evidence-based activities endorsed by FaME. It includes targeted resistance training, flexibility, dynamic endurance training, adapted tai chi, backward chaining, and functional floor activities (these can be adapted to a chair). You will be with like-minded people in a calm safe environment working at your own pace with expert instruction and support.

The GOGA in Action project has been funded by the National Lottery Community Fund to support, promote and improve physical and mental wellbeing, confidence and self-esteem while developing a variety of opportunities for disabled and non-disabled people to be active together.
