On Sunday, September 7, Nativity Lutheran Church will join with other ELCA congregations across the country for “God’s Work. Our Hands.” Sunday, a day dedicated to serving our neighbors and sharing God’s love. We’ll worship together at 8:00 am and 10:30 am, with an intergenerational service project hour at 9:15 am. Projects include preparing Thanksgiving meal kits, packing lunches for local firefighters, assembling hygiene kits, and filling backpacks with school supplies. There’s a way for everyone, of every age and ability, to lend a hand!
After the 10:30 am service, we’ll enjoy lunch and a blessing before heading out into the community for afternoon service projects such as serving at the Allentown Rescue Mission, playing Bingo with residents at Above and Beyond, painting and gardening at Catasaqua Elementary, worship service at Cedarbrook, and harvesting potatoes with i-Hart Harvest.
