Join artist Brittany Heskett, aka Papermoonies, for a hands-on workshop exploring the cultural roots and vibrant symbolism of the Ojo de Dios (God’s Eye)—a sacred object rooted in the Huichol traditions of Mexico.Together, we’ll create three unique woven pieces (two small and one large) using colorful yarn and wooden sticks. Along the way, Brittany will guide students through the origins of this powerful talisman, its ties to Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), and the storytelling traditions that make this symbol so meaningful.

About the Instructor:
Brittany Heskett, also known as Papermoonies, studied Art Media and Design at Cal State University San Marcos. She is a multidisciplinary artist and a San Diego transplant, where she curated, taught, and exhibited throughout California. Her work often explores the connections between art and historical material cultures. Brittany brings a passion for storytelling and hands-on creativity to each of her workshops.
