God's design and purpose is for our students to flourish as whole beings - including their social and emotional experiences. This session will primarily focus on exploring the biblical truths around key social-emotional domains. Starting with humans as holistic beings, we will explore five key domains for understanding biblical social-emotional learning (SEL). These domains are 1) self-awareness, 2) self-management, 3) responsible decision-making, 4) social-awareness, and 5) relationship skills. This session will present the robust biblical case for SEL and connect the social-emotional experiences of our students to God's good design for their flourishing. Together, we'll explore creation, the Psalms, the life of Christ, and writings of Paul to engage SEL through a Christian worldview.
