FAQs

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

email: [email protected]

text Michelle: 213-448-4848

Where is the event located?

Nestled inside a quiet shaded canyon in Altadena. The address, details & meet up instructions will be disclosed to ticket holders.

Where can I park?

You need an Adventure Pass to park in the lot at the base of the trail. If you do not have one, you can purchase your adventure pass here on eventbrite as an "add on" or buy an Adventure Pass at most REI or Big 5 retail stores:

https://www.fs.fed.us/portaldata/r5/ap/r5-ap-vendors.php

The adventure pass supports our public parks, so it’s well worth the price ($5 daily/ $30 annual)

What should I bring to the event? Bring drinking water to stay hydrated. Wear comfortable clothing & hiking shoes with good tread that might get wet. Trekking poles or a walking stick can help your balance while crossing over slippery rocks. A fanny pack or back pack could come in handy too. Be sure to have your phone or camera ready to capture unforGOATable moments!

Is it okay to bring food? You will have the opportunity to feed the goats treats that we provide. If you'd like to enjoy a picnic before or after the hike, there are a few tables at the base of the trail. Be warned: if you pull out food in front of the goats they will try to eat it before you do!

Are pets allowed? NO. Please leave your pets at home - the goats can experience stress in the presence of unfamiliar animals.

What are the requirements to join the event? All attendees must sign waivers before participating. Minors must be accompanied by a paid participant (parent or legal guardian). We recommend participants be comfortable with and capable of walking on uneven ground, through a creek , navigating slippery rocks, boulders, a 4' retaining wall and fallen trees.

How long is the hike? About one mile to & from the waterfall. The hike takes approx 90 -120 minutes in total with stops for water breaks, conversation and pictures.

Is there a restroom? Yes, there is a camp restroom onsite.

What if the trail is inaccessible or unsafe on the day of the event? An alternative hike will be offered or, the hike will be postponed until another time.

What's the refund policy? Since this is a rare and highly sought after event with extremely limited capacity, there will be no refunds offered. Tickets however, are fully transferrable. If the event is cancelled or postponed, you may request a credit for another Hello Critter event of equal or lesser value.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Yes, please email [email protected] to let us know the name of the person(s) attending in your place.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No, show us a screenshot of your digital ticket on your electronic device.

Are pictures allowed? Yes! Take as many photos as you like during the event. Share your most unforGOATable moments by tagging @hellocrittercare on Instagram!
