A life without goals is like flying a plane and not knowing where to land!
Hi my name is Louise Macartney. I am an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, a graduate of The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, New York. I also have 30 years of experience in Nursing; including Midwifery, Child & Family Health and as a Lactation Consultant. I have been a longstanding advocate for organic, toxin free, nutrition dense, sustainable living.
Over the last 20 years I have completed many personal growth courses including the Landmark Forum (x 2), The Advanced Landmark Course, Self Expression and Leadership Program (SELP), Klemmer, Born Rich (x 4), Neuro Linguistic Programming, Demartini plus many more. Many insights and aha moments there!
11 years ago I left my nursing/midwifery career to run my own wellness and lifestyle business. A sole parent with a mortgage and 2 kids in private school It's definitely one of the most courageous (and empowering) things I've ever done but thanks to my commitment to creating goals... I've never looked back!
Aside from private health coaching I facilitate many personal growth, goals and entrepreneurial workshops. Also, Every Little Difference Day Retreats and a variety of health seminars for community groups, corporate and schools.
Creating goals is a simple task but requires support, motivation, knowledge and accountability to see them through. We are all human and life (plus temptations) often get in the way. Setting goals, and more importantly, sticking to them, is a huge part of becoming your healthiest self. Your desire to change must be greater than your desire to stay where you are. It's in the doing not just the learning and thinking that we achieve our goals so again, congratulations for being here and considering this workshop.
The Coronavirus pandemic, no doubt, threw a few curveballs at your 2020/21 goals. Fear can easily disrupt your ambitions and personal growth but now is not the time to be derailed!
Adjusting your goals simply requires a shift in mindset. You can’t expect to set realistic, relevant, and meaningful goals if you’re not in the right headspace. We are all going through challenging times. Many are experiencing unprecedented fear and anxiety about the future but

Opportunity to meet like-minded people. Create new friendships. To consider a new job/career/online business. To travel to places, close to home, that you never knew existed! 'Covid' has given all of us time to reflect on the past and visualise our future. To focus on our health. Life is all about attitude and opportunities are endless when you change your attitude! See the good in every situation.
Personal development is the conscious choice to improve one’s life to become a better person and to grow as an individual. No matter what! No excuses. Investing in yourself is the best investment you will ever make. It will not only improve your life, it will improve the lives of all those around you.
Throughout the workshop we will do a variety of interactive exercises including:
- The Circle of Life - This interactive exercise will give you a clear visual picture of where your life is thriving – and what areas could use a little more work.
- Your WHY (What's Hurting You) - You need to have a powerful WHY to keep you motivated with your wellness and lifestyle goals.
- Values / Personality Types - to help you define who you are, what you love and what makes you happy.
- The 5 Love Languages® - how you can use it to connect and deepen your relationships with others.
We will begin to create:
A daily ‘to do’ list
Goals for the next 12 months
Goals for the next 5 years
Goals for the next 10 years
Plus a bucket list of 101 things to do in your lifetime!
Also, a Vision Board - one of the most valuable visualisation tools available. The inspirational collages serve as your image of the future – a tangible example, idea or representation of where you are going. They should represent your dreams, your goals, and your ideal life.
As a family, we started creating vision boards about 15 years ago. I'd be here all day if I were to share what we have manifested! They are so powerful sometimes even freaky!
The most important message here is to make time to plan your future. Goal setting is so powerful and you will be amazed at what you can manifest! Be unstoppable!

In the meantime consider what you want in each area of your life. Be specific and have an attitude of 'no limit thinking!'

Last night I made my vision board. I found a spot for it in my bedroom in front of my salt lamp where I can not just look at it every day but also add to it. One of the biggest pictures on my board was me and my son together. As circumstances meant he could not be home with me for a long time. Today he rang to say out of the blue he is coming home on Tuesday. This was so far from hope. Yet I do the vision board and the next day he is telling me he can come home. All I can say is do this people! Special thanks to this community for inspiring me to actually do one and focus my intentions on the things I want in life. Deb
