gmtc sessions #7: aydo + a. cerisse cohen + jenny wu, followed by a closing reception until 6:00 pm
'gmtc sessions' were conceived as a series of experiments in writing about performance and in the performance of writing. on various days between september 4 and october 25, pairings of artists and critics will convene at 210 canal st, room 310, to, respectively, rehearse and respond to a work-in-progress.
the seventh session on october 25th at 3:00 - 4:00 pm will feature aydo and a. cerisse cohen, followed by a closing reception of 'gmtc sessions.'

aydo is a new york–based artist duo founded by a young yu and nicholas oh. their practice spans performance, video, sculpture, and site-specific installation, exploring intergenerational diasporic narratives through eco-spiritual perspectives.
a. cerisse cohen is an art writer living in brooklyn.
jenny wu is a critic, essayist, and associate editor of artreview.
* documentation of the events – critics’ texts and photographs by – will live on in the form of a limited-edition chapbook-length anthology, also titled ‘the gmtc sessions’, forthcoming in winter/spring 2026.
