The Greater Miami Symphonic Band and Music Director Robert Longfield invite you out for a night to remember and witness history in the making at our upcoming concert, “TICHELI CONDUCTS TICHELI,” on SUNDAY, MARCH 16h at 6PM at MAURICE GUSMAN CONCERT HALL, located on the campus of the University of Miami, at 1314 Miller Drive, Coral Gables, FL. Valet parking and PayByPhone parking are available. Join us for a truly spectacular evening featuring the award-winning, world-renowned composer, Frank Ticheli. His works are widely performed across the globe, and he is known for his vibrant and expansive works for wind ensemble, orchestra, and choral groups. Ticheli’s music is characterized by lyrical melodies, rich harmonies, and dynamic rhythms, making him a favorite among musicians and audiences alike. Experience a night of breathtaking music as Ticheli makes his way onto the podium to conduct his own masterpieces, including the energetic “Over the Moon,” the uplifting “Lux Perpetua,” and the joyous celebration of life, “To Lafayette: III. Acadiana.”
The Gusman Hall Concert Series is sponsored with support of the City of Coral Gables, the Miami Salon Group, and the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
Tickets are $20 for ADULTS, $5 for STUDENTS/CHILDREN (over 5 years of age) and are available at the box office on the day of the concert, or in advance online at www.GMSB.org. Cash, check, and major credit cards accepted.
