I am please to host the 3rd GLS scooter shoot out in collaboration with Straightliners. Melbourne raceway is a smooth tarmac 1/8th mile drag strip.
Event booking will be Carried out on the day. (No on line booking available for this event).
Everyone will pay an entrance/spectators fee of £15 per day.
Racers will then need to go to the control office, fill in a little bit of paperwork and pay the racing fee of £35 per day. I will be around to assist everyone ?
Weekend camping is free once you have paid for 2 days entrance/spectator fee.
You can also come and go on both days if camping isn’t your thing.
All entrants will be entered in the Green light scooters No Mercy competition thats being held on Sunday (after lunch).
No riders from the Straightliners championship will be in the green light scooters no mercy shoot out.
Any scooter can enter, geared or Auto, if it looks like a scooter then it can run in the comp, GLS holds the final decision if it can run.
Racers and spectators can come for both days or just one day. It will great to see scooterists having a go and racing there mates during the practice runs on Saturday and Sunday morning and then doing battle in the shoot out.
All scooters need to be in a safe condition, a safety check is carried out on site by the straightliners staff but please focus on your own check before entering.
Riders will need to have the following riding gear:
1. Full face helmet with Acu gold badge
2. Textile riding gear/armour jeans/leathers, (these can be zipped together or full suits).
3. Leather riding gloves
4. Leather boots (covering the ankles)
There is a bar and there will be a Band on Saturday night.
Summary:
Simply turn up pay your entrance fee, pay your racer fee, get your scoot checked and start enjoying going as fast as you can racing against your mates ????
The ticket office for your race ticket normally opens 09:00
After signing on and got your race number the format is this:
I. go back to pits and put your race numbers on your scooter.
2. Get your riding gear on less your helmet and gloves and head over to a scrutineering. (Holding your helmet and gloves). Bring a form of identification with you that stays on your person when riding.
3. Back to the pits and wait for the call for the riders brief.
4. Once riders brief is done green light scooter will do another brief to capture any questions.
