Our next Women in Business lunch of 2024 will be held at the Manor by the Lake on Wednesday 25 September starting with teas/coffees at 11.45am.
As usual, there will be an opportunity for networking, a talk from an inspirational businesswoman and a two-course lunch.
New faces are always very welcome.
Tandem's Elaine Warwicker will be our speaker for this event, and she'll be sharing her "Top Ten Tips for Tricky Conversations"
We all face difficult situations with people at work which can easily escalate – whether that’s with customers, suppliers, staff or colleagues.
Elaine will share practical tips on how to plan for and address tricky conversations in the workplace in a calm, confident and professional manner.
Elaine is a communications and conflict expert, who specialises in leadership development and cultural change. She has over 25 years’ experience in developing, managing and advising ambitious and high growth organisations.
Elaine is an Executive Coach, Workplace Mediator, facilitator and a practitioner in Everything DiSC® and Strengthscope® psychometric profiling.
And as always, there will be an opportunity for our questions too.
These lunches allow us to:
- relax over a delicious meal in a luxurious private dining room
- connect and network with like-minded businesswomen
- establish new connections, new working relationships and new friendships, as well as developing existing ones. As the numbers are capped at 24 there is usually opportunity to connect with all/most other women in the room during the event
- promote our businesses, ourselves and our connections
- learn from each other, and to help us be better at what we do.
The set lunch consists of two courses (main and dessert) plus coffee/tea. Alternative options can be made available, but you will need to notify us of any dietary requirements in advance.

- this is a women-only event and a ‘not for profit’ venture - we split the cost between us;
- unfortunately, we can’t permit cancellations once you’ve booked and paid, as the venue is paid in full in advance.
