As part of The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival, The Gloucestershire Guild will be hosting a selling exhibition of exceptional handcrafted work.Like the Cheltenham Literature Festival, the Gloucestershire Guild has a history going back to the first half of the twentieth century. It’s the oldest craft guild in the country, founded in 1933, and has always had a close link with Cheltenham.
Now a co-operative of over 60 practising makers, the Gloucestershire Guild is dedicated to promoting contemporary designer crafts of a very high standard, both functional and decorative.
As part of The Times and Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival 2024, The Gloucestershire Guild is thrilled to be hosting an exhibition at The Gardens Gallery, Montpellier Gardens, Cheltenham, GL50 2XL
The show will be open from Friday 4 October – Sunday 13 October, 10am to 6pm daily.
25 members of the Gloucestershire Guild will be showing and selling their contemporary design and craft across a range on disciplines including ceramics, jewellery, textiles, knitwear, bookbinding, furniture, leather goods, and rugs. Many members will also be demonstrating their craft skills throughout the duration of the show.
