Join artist and contemporary stitch and textile expert Ann Davies for a wildly creative and enjoyable textile and stitch workshop!Glorious Stitch is back!
Following her hugely succesful 6-week Glorious Stitching courses, we have persuaded experienced artist, contemporary embroidery expert and creator Ann Davies to run another set of these wildly creative and enjoyable textile and stitch workshops!
There will be one 5- hour daytime workshop each month, starting with Thursday 23 May and ending on Thursday 5 December. These sessions can be booked individually but the four sessions on 23 May, 20 June, 18 July and 15 August will have linked themes, building key skills and explorations, so we recommend booking all four sessions for continuity and maximum creative development. The four session cycle will be repeated later in the year through 4 individually listed workshops on 12 September, 10 October, 7 November and 5 December. The choice is yours - come along for the full course over 4 monthly sessions or just book individual workshops. Each session is listed separately on our Eventbrite page.
Each of the eight 2024 Glorious Stitch workshops will run from 10am - 3pm, with a break for lunch, which can be purchased from our lovely cafe and served to you in Ann's beautiful textiles studio on our first floor.
Suitable for beginners and experienced stitchers, these sessions emphasise fun and creativity! By the end of the course you will have a collection of stitch and textile techniques and ideas. You won’t have a finished product to take home so if you like perfect results this one’s not for you!
A new stitch or technique will be taught each session. All materials are provided and the course takes place in Ann’s well equipped and inspiring studio on our first floor.
Ann is an experienced artist and maker, she has a passion for sharing and facilitating creativity and the benefits to our wellbeing.
