Kia ora,Let's do the Global Underscore together!
This month is the GLOBAL UNDERSCORE is happening worldwide on June 19th. This is a long practice that happens symultaneously in different locations across the globe. For Aotearoa the event falls on 1am June 20th, & although I’d like to honour that global connection, the reality is much harder for me with a little baby to be out in the early hours of the morning. So I have decided to hold special long practice a little later, Sunday June 20th 10am-1pm in conjunction with the Auckland group who will also practice at the same time.

We will begin strictly at 10am for a korero & opening circle. Please arrive a little early and be ready to begin at 10.
We will connect up with the Auckland community (who will be practicing symultaneously) at different points in the jam. We end at 1pm after reflection & harvest circle.
Things to bring: contact improv kneepads, water bottle, layers for moving in, journal and pen/pencils if you are inclined to write or draw during reflection.
This event is limited to 10 participants due to the venue size.
It will take the place of our June's monthly Underscore (no Underscore June 27th). Some Contact Improvisation experience is recommended for this event.
About the Underscore:
The Underscore is a dance improvisation structure developed by Nancy Stark Smith. Based in Contact Improvisation, it comprises a spectrum of states, from quiet, internal activity to high-energy, interactive dancing. It is undirected; for research and play. Open to all familiar with Contact Improvisation.
